Explosion box #3

I told you we have a lot of family birthdays in the spring!  This one is for another niece, who hit the teen years last week!  I used the SVG Cuts box template, cupcake, and bird for the inside, and the patterned papers on the inside are DCWV.  The cardstock I used for the base is great, and I wish I had gotten more at Joann's during the sale a couple of weeks ago.  The one exception is the pocket on the inside - that is an SU! pattern.  The stamps are a combination of Scrapmaster's and Above Rubies Studios.  OK, I think that covers it all, so thanks for visiting!

Wow, it's been forever!

I can't believe it has been so long since I posted - oops!!  I have been making a ton of cards (7 in the last 2 days), but I just haven't been on the computer much lately.  Anyway, here is another card I made a la the just a note cart that I will never own (lol).  It is a birthday card for my brother to give to my niece, and I wasn't sure the colors and patterns went together, but I guess it turned out OK.  The phrase on the front is from Lettering  Delights sweet cupcake graphics set, the cupcake on the middle piece is from SVG Cuts Cupcake cards and Tags, and the balloons and flowers are stickers from Recollections.  Both patterend papers were loose sheets from Joann's, and the "My Heavenly Daughter" stamps is from Scrapmaster's line of clear stamps.  I love this set!!!

I made this card in MTC, and used the shadow feature and welded to create the card base.  Thanks for visiting today!

Mother's Day explosion box

Yet another sub-par explosion box, LOL!!  My brother called me a couple of days before mother's day, telling me that my niece, who is 14, requested that I make a card for her to give my SIL for mother's day.  What a sweetie!  Since she loved her explosion box so much, I decided to go ahead and make one.  And yet again, I missed the mark.  I used Lettering Delights' Mother Dear graphic set for the inside flowers, thanks, and I heart mom pieces, as well as the tag on the outside of the box, using the print and cut method.  The pink chipboard paisley element is a piece from DCWV Sweet Stack chipboard box, and the green paper used for the pocket and the lid is from SU!.  The patterned paper for the box is from a K&Co Valentine's Day stack this year, and the "Happy Mother's Day" is from the Mother's day cart (circa 2010).  I left the center square blank so she could write something of her own, as per her request. I think that covers it all, so thanks for visiting!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful moms out there!  I actually did the cooking for the whole family today (all 16 of us!), which is a first for me!  I hope all of you have a wonderful, relaxing day!!

I made this file from scratch in my Gypsy after seeing the "Just a Note" cartridge on the E2.  I will never own it, so I decided to get to work and start making my own cards in that style, and here is the first.  This is for my Mom, and I used the title from the Mother's Day cart and the butterfly from Wall Decor and more.  I just used basic shapes from Plantin, did some welding, and that was it.  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, and can't wait to make more of these!  The papers are all K&Co and the butterfly stamps are SU! Itty Bits.

Simple male birthday card

I decided I was running out of ideas for themes for all of my brothers birthdays, so I decided to try a patterned card instead.  Then I saw the SVG Cuts Guy Cards, and thought, "Perfect!"  For this, I used DCWV new Plaids and Stripes stack, which is amazing, BTW, SU! buttons, and my own TTF that I got free from fontriver.com.  I put the words on the mat in MTC, changed their positions a little, welded, and lastly, created a shadow layer for it all.  My trusty white gel pen finished off the wording with a little extra, and that was it!  So easy, and I think it looks OK, right??  Thanks for visiting!
