Well, here it is. I had been making some samples for my niece's invitation, and each one I came up with seemed to be missing something. Last Sunday, she handed out her Save the Date magnets, and it hit me!! First, here is her magnet.
Once I saw it, I knew that I had to have something similar to the brown corner flourish in all of my SU stamps, so I found the So Swirly jumbo wheel, and I ran it across the top left corner with Early Espresso ink. She picked out the paper colors, which are Early Espresso and Tempting Turquoise. Did I mention these invites are mostly Stampin' Up?? LOL! Anyway, I cut the brown piece at 8x7, the turquoise at 7.5x6.5, and the white at 7.25x6.25. The embossing on the top and bottom of the white is a folder from a Cuttlebug borders set - but I can't remember which one!! I finished it off with a brown ribbon at the top, and on the finished product, it will be tied through two punched holes, which I didn't do for the sample.
So, anyone who has made invitations before, I would LOVE advice, feedback, where to get envelopes, etc!!! Also, I am going to be using Sale-a-Bration to order all of the supplies, so if you like what you see check it out over at Barb's site (she's my demo) at
Snowmanlover's Paperie!Thank you for visiting today!
