Anniversary card

I made this for my boyfriend's parents' 30th, and the idea came to me in a brainstorm, after he told me that she displays my cards on her dresser.  This is actually the 3D frame from happy Hauntings, believe it or not.  I used my Gypsy, and put two frame bases on the mat.  I then flipped one and welded them together to make it into a card base.  I then hit the shift key for the cutout frame, so I avoided the cobweb look, being that it's an anniversary card!  The final cut from there was the stand for the frame.  For that, I layered a piece of thin cardboard between two cuts of color to give it some strength.

Then I moved on to Stretch Your Imagination for the bride and groom silhouette, using shadow and shadow blackout cuts.  Happy Anniversary came from Beyond Birthdays, and I also did a layering, blackout with that.  The frame print mat is from DCWV Garden Party, and the base is from the SU Rich Regals.  I have no idea if this color is retired or not, but it looks more maroon in the pic than what it actually is - it's more brownish in reality.  The stamp on the inside is from SU also, and the ribbon is from Michael's.  I added some half pearls to the front, and a 30 at the bottom, which I don't think you can see in the pics.

I'm "meh" about this

Not sure I like this one, but it's done.  I made this for my mom to give to my brother and his wife for their anniversary yesterday.  I'm not real impressed with this one, but here it is anyway.  The flower is from Life is a Beach, and I chalked it to add some dimension and color.  The satin ribbon is generic, the paper is from DCWV Nana's Kitchen, the "Happiness Always" is an SU! stamp, and the little brown plastic flowers are from a random kit I got from HSN.  On the inside, I used Amy Chomas' sharpie holder and the sentiment from Lyrical Letters.  Very simple, and I threw it together in about 5 minutes, literally.  I guess that's why it's so crappy!!!  LOL.  Anyway, thanks for visiting, and is anyone else out there a Big Brother fan, and looking forward to tonight????    : )

Anniversary card

This one is for my brother and sister-in-law, and I finally can put it up, since they got it yesterday!  LOL.  My SIL frequents my blog,a nd she told me yesterday when I gave them their cards that she purposely has not checked in ehre for the last few days, in case I posted their cards.  Too cute.

Anyway, this is from Just Because Cards, but my own take on it.  I love how this SU! paper coordinated with it, so I used this color scheme for the card.  The pear was cut at 3.8" x 2.8", the brown tag from JBC was cut at 4.2"x3.0", the A Perfect Pear title was a combo between JBC and Storybook, and the Happy Anniversary title on the inside is from Beyond Birthdays, cut at 3.8"x1.2".  The card base is also from SU!, and the patterned mat is from a discontinued pack called "Good Morning Sunshine".  At least, I think that's the one.  Barb??  Lol.  Anyway, I used the layers on JBC to get the brown seeds, and then I went over it with my Gold galaxy marker, just to give it the faux stitching and finishing touch. The ribbon is plain grosgrain from Michael's, and for the last thing, I inked the inside mat for some dimension.  I think I've covered it all, so thanks for visiting!

Anniversary card, first card ever made

It's not a Valentine's card, but maybe it could pass for one??  This is the first card I made, EVER!, and it was for my boyfriend on our 2nd anniversary in October.  I used Wild Card for the "love" and on the inside, I used champagne glasses and flower vines from Stretch Your Imagination.  The white layer at the bottom was heart embossed paper that I bought at Michael's, and I can't find it now.

Anniversary Card

Here is a 25th Anniversary card I made for my brother and sister-in-law last month.  The heart and "25" were pop-dotted, although it is hard to tell from this picture.  Another MTC creation purposely kept very simple.
